Rev. Banks Brazell
Senior Minister
Banks received his call to ministry later in life, after a
first career in commercial construction and a second career
as a freefall and tandem skydiving instructor.
As a construction
executive, Banks was responsible for estimates, negotiations
and buy-out, scheduling, and construction management of projects
ranging from malls to hospitals, and in size from $7 million
to $50 million. Much of his project management experience
was on-site. Banks was also a construction headhunter for two
years, specializing in commercial contractors and developers
in Florida.
In his skydiving career, he built FreeFall Ranch
in Warm Springs into a national class skydiving center and
drop zone. He has over 1,700 skydives, many of them as a
freefall or tandem instructor. From 1991-1992, he served on
the Board of Directors of the United Stated Parachute Association
representing the Southeast Region.
As a minister, Banks is a
dynamic preacher, and had served small country churches as
a student pastor, a 6000 member suburban church as senior
associate pastor, and a 500 member county-seat First Church
before founding AllPoints. Banks has extensive missions experience
both locally and internationally, has organized neighborhood
cell groups, men’s small groups, market-place
evangelism and Bible studies. Banks is frequently sought
out for his ability to give spiritual direction and mentoring,
pastoral counseling, and his healing ministry.
Banks’ passion
is helping individuals and churches discover and use their
God-given graces and gifts to expand the Kingdom, and to
that end AllPoints Church has a focus on spiritual gifts
and healing as part of its outreach.
He holds a Bachelor
of Science degree in Building Science from Auburn University,
and a Master of Divinity degree cum
laude from Candler School of Theology, Emory University.
Banks
is married to the former Kendra Kasha of North Platte,
Nebraska. They have four sons, Kenneth, Eric, Michael, and
Daniel. They live along with Misty the Wonder Dog in the rapidly
dwindling rural area of Hickory Flat just outside Canton,
Georgia.
